The Saadian Tombs are one of the most visited places in Marrakech, open to the public as early as 1917, the year of their discovery.
The tombs date back to the end of the 16th century and are located inside a closed garden which is accessed via a narrow corridor.
In the same garden there are more than 100 tombs decorated with mosaics, where the bodies of the servants and warriors of the Saadian dynasty were buried.
The most important building of the Saadian Tombs is the main mausoleum, where Sultan Ahmad al-Mansur (the client) and members of his family are buried.
The mausoleum has three rooms, of which the most famous is that of the 12 columns, where his children are buried, enchanting and to be observed they form
queues that last up to 30 minutes, we suggest going early in the morning. It is certainly one of the most important visits from a historical point of view
in the city at a very low cost and lasting at least 30 minutes to see the whole garden.
