The parents of Giulio Regeni, the Italian researcher killed in Egypt in 2016, displayed the yellow banner with the words “Truth for Giulio Regeni” this morning in St. Peter’s Square on the occasion of Christmas. It is the mother herself, Paola Deffendi, who publishes the photos of herself and her husband Claudio in front of the nativity scene installed inside the Bernini colonnade: this year the nativity scene is offered by Grado, in Friuli Venezia Giulia, a municipality near the town of the Regeni.
